René Mauer is Professor at ESCP Europe (Berlin Campus) and has a vast experience in interdisciplinary technology transfer. He holds the Chair for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Berlin Campus, is the scientific co-director of the Entrepreneurship Chair (ChaireEEE) for Berlin and shares the academic lead of UNTERNEHMERSCHULE (now U-School), the entrepreneurial leadership programme at ESCP Europe. Prior to joining ESCP Europe he was Assistant Professor at RWTH Aachen, where he worked in the fields of entrepreneurship, start-up and growth management and founded and led the university’s Start-Up Centre. His area of expertise is entrepreneurial decision-making in venture and corporate contexts. In practice projects he has been working together with SMEs and larger companies such as BASF, BMW, Deutsche Post DHL or P&G. He is currently implementing the “InnoBridge” incubation- project that brings together research, business and students and is supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Berlin.
