Biography

Prof. Gunnar Graef is founder of several technology and service companies and a Managing Partner of Deutsche Ventures, a Berlin-based company builder, which partners with majors players in the Aerospace, ICT, Transportation and Energy industries to develop new businesses and drive digital transformation.  Gunnar co-founded Airtag which he recently sold to Safran Group. Before, he founded Haiku (acquired by the Japanese Index Corp.). Gunnar also co-founded DHL Globalmail in France. The company was acquired by Deutsche Post.

Gunnar is also an active angel investor supporting great entrepreneurs with a focus on disruptive technologies and services. He is a board advisor of Local Motors, gestigon and several other startups in Europe and in the US. Gunnar is also mentoring  Plug and Play, Startupbootcamp, Hubraum and Microsoft Ventures. For his achievements and support of entrepreneurial leadership development, he was elected Professor at ESCP Europe (Paris).
